Addiction & Recovery

Addiction is rarely about the substance. It is most often about the wound the substance was trying to soothe. Recovery becomes sustainable when that underlying material has somewhere safe to be heard.

What I work with

Substance use, including alcohol, cannabis, stimulants, and opioids

Behavioral patterns such as compulsive sex, gaming, or overworking

Co-occurring trauma, depression, anxiety, and grief

Relationships where addiction has been a quiet third partner

Returning to recovery after relapse

Harm-reduction approaches for clients not ready for abstinence

How I work

I work without judgment and with deep curiosity about what the substance has been doing for you. Often, that opens space for a more honest relationship with the pattern, and a more compassionate path through it.

  • Attachment-informed and trauma-aware recovery work

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) to meet the parts beneath the behavior

  • Cannabis-informed therapy for clients using cannabis intentionally

  • Coordination with medical and recovery teams when appropriate

  • Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) for the underlying trauma fueling the cycle, in collaboration with a psychiatrist

The first step

What to expect

We start with a free 30-minute consultation. There is nothing you need to clean up or hide before that call. We figure out together whether this is a good place to bring the work, and what kind of cadence and structure would serve you.

Ready to begin?

The first conversation is a free 30-minute consultation. We talk about what brought you here and whether this is the right fit, with zero pressure to commit.
