Unpacking Trauma

When trauma has organized the nervous system around survival for long enough, talk therapy alone sometimes is not enough to move it. Psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, combined with depth modalities, can open the door.

Who this work is for

Many of the clients I see for trauma have already tried good therapy. They have insight. They have language for what happened. And still, the body holds it. This is where psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy can be especially useful.

Complex PTSD and developmental trauma

Single-incident PTSD that has not responded to talk therapy alone

Trauma layered with depression, anxiety, or addiction

Childhood trauma, attachment wounds, and relational trauma

Medical PTSD and trauma from healthcare experiences

How I work

Trauma work is paced by the nervous system. With or without medicine, we never push faster than your system can metabolize.

  • Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) for trauma-resistant cases, in collaboration with a licensed psychiatrist

  • EMDR for processing traumatic memory networks

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) to meet protective parts with care

  • Somatic, body-aware therapy that includes the felt sense

  • Integration support after psychedelic experiences related to trauma
